SUPPORT LINE

free introductory legal advice for bullying, SEXUAL HArassment, abuse and underpayment.

Our industry can be a tough place. While we know how rewarding it can be, we’re also more than aware of how challenging it can be. When times are tough, who can we turn to?

In many, if not all of these cases, individuals are often at a disadvantage vs their perpetrator and / or their employer. They might not understand their rights, or feel powerless to do something against a more senior individual or larger organisation. In more significant cases, issues are swept under the carpet with a payout, resignation and an NDA signed by all the parties involved – this can not be a solution.

If individuals could be made more aware of their rights and the support available to them, then we can help to reduce the mental harm and trauma that arises because of these situations.

We’ve partnered with Artis Causa, a specialist firm with over 20 years experience in the entertainment, media and creative industries. NNC will fund an initial case review and consultation for individuals who believe they have been mistreated.

We believe it’s essential that for our industry to thrive, our community must feel safe, confident and believed in to go about their work in a fair and just way.

  • Your information will be reviewed by one of the Artis Causa team, who will conduct a conflict check. Assuming there is no conflict, the team will request further information relating to your matter.
  • The team will then review your complaint, and if you are eligible for advice under the program, they will contact you to organise a date and time for a consultation with an employment lawyer.
  • During the consultation, the lawyer will ask you to provide more detail. They will then seek to provide you advice on where you stand and what the next steps may be available to you, if you wish to take them.
  • Resources may be provided to support you in your next steps, if appropriate.
