Never Not International Women's Day

 Never Not International Women's Day

If 2020 taught us one thing, women are still a long way from equality and equity. Globally, women bore the brunt of the physical, emotional and financial impacts of the pandemic with their livelihoods affected at almost twice the rate of men.

As International Women’s Day 2021 passes, we say enough really is f*cking enough.

Enough of our stoicism. Enough of our patience. Enough of the injustice. It will be Never Not International Women’s Day until all women including women of colour, women with disabilities, and queer or trans women, stop being penalised for being women.

Welcome to a mind-changing, bias-ridding, downright mutinous loop of ideas and musings from women in the creative and associated industries everywhere that will run 24/7/365 on a loop forever, or until...we don’t need to talk about it anymore.

WHY NEVER NOT INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY? WATCH PRUE JONES, VE DEWEY AND ANDY WRIGHT DISCUSS THE INSPIRATION, MOTIVATION AND FRUSTRATION.

We will constantly be adding to the loop of content. If you’d like to share your voice, opinions, ideas then please head over to the Get Involved page.

Bring your fight. Bring your outlook. Bring your sass. Bring your inspo. Hell, bring your iPhone. We’re asking for 15 minutes (or shorter or longer if you like, no limit, and we’re pretty sure you’re busy as hell) of you speaking on the topic of “It will never not be International Women’s Day until…” and fill in your personal blank.

You can pre-record a presentation that can take any format, pecha kucha, piece to camera, poem, rant, Ted-style, anecdote collection, discussion between you and a friend, illustrated talk, series of words on slides, song, or a mix of all of these formats and more, whatever helps get your point across. Use it as a vehicle to showcase your craft or your brand if you like, but just tell us what it will take for International Women’s Day to become redundant, according to you and your experience. We’ll make a continuous loop of all the presentations and do what we women supposedly do best. Talk. We’re literally never shutting up about this.
